AS YOUR ELECTED OFFICIAL, BETH WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING:

JOBS & TAXES - Tax relief for our hardworking tax payers and small businesses
STATE BUDGET - The ELIMINATION of all unnecessary spending
SOCIAL PROGRAMS - Time limits are needed on many social programs, as well as elimination of benefit increases (incentives) for people who grow their families at the expense of tax payers. In addition, there must be a sliding scale benefit structure to encourage (not penalize) even part-time work. Re-certification for all current recipients, adding an "off benefits" date is also necessary.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - E-Verify legislation must be passed in Rhode Island, and existing immigration laws MUST be enforced.
PENSION SYSTEM - Rhode Island must move away from a defined benefits system to a defined contribution system that would be fair, equitable and fiscally responsible.
